IN THE CURRENT FABRICATING ENVIRONMENT, FLEXIBLE AUTOMATION IS REQUIRED. THIS IS DUE TO THE SHORTER PRODUCTION RUNS THAT ARE A BY-PRODUCT OF JUST-IN-TIME. THERE ARE MASSIVE FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS WITH INTEGRATED BENDING MACHINES. HOWEVER, THESE FABRICATING SYSTEMS ARE BEYOND THE FINANCIAL MEANS OF THE MAJORITY OF FABRICATING SHOPS. THE PRESS BRAKE SEEMS TO MEET THESE NEEDS. IT CAN BE EQUIPPED WITH A MULTITUDE OF ACCESSORIES (THE COST OF OPTIONS COULD EXCEED THE COST OF THE BASE MACHINE ITSELF). MOST FABRICATORS ARE UNAWARE OF THE RECENT ADVANCES IN PRESS BRAKE TECHNOLOGIES. JUST LOOK IN THE SCRAP BIN. WHEN ALL OF THE WORK IS CONSIDERED FOR WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO A BLANK BEFORE IT GETS TO THE PRESS BRAKE (PUNCHING, SHEARING, LASING, ETC.), IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THE PART CAN BE PUT IN THE TRASH WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
