CYANOACRYLATE ADHESIVES HAVE LONG BEEN KNOWN TO BE VERY USEFUL, VERSATILE ASSEMBLY ADHESIVES BECAUSE OF THEIR CONVENIENT USE PROPERTIES AND ABILITY TO BOND MANY DIVERSE MATERIALS. HOWEVER, IN THEIR ABILITY TO PERFORM UNDER SEVERE SUSTAINED THERMAL CONDITIONS, EVEN THE REPORTED HIGH TEMPERATURE GRADES HAVE BEEN FOUND TO BE LIMITED AT BEST. THE OUTGASSING CHARCTERISTICS, CRITICAL IN THE ASSEMBLY OF SENSITIVE ELECTRONIC AND MECHANICAL MICRO ASSEMBLIES, HAVE SIMILARLY BEEN DRAMATICALLY IMPROVED. SEVERAL APPLICATION CASE STUDIES ARE PRESENTED.
