This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Olivenhain Municipal Water District and the David C. McCollom Water Treatment Plant. The presentation summarizes the results of an evaluation of the existing energy recovery facilities and options for modifications and new equipment to optimize power production. The presentation provides a description and comparison of energy recovery alternatives including: flow and hydraulic head; hydraulics; turbines; and, equipment configurations. Revenue and cost analysis includes: replace existing equipment with two 450 kW units; and, replace existing equipment with four 200 kW units. An extensive summary of findings and recommendations is included.
