New modifications of honing processes are required more and more. Laser honing and coaxial honing are the most interesting variations. The coaxial honing allows an aligned position of all parts of a bore in spite of significant dis-position of single parts of bore before honing. This can be possible in bore with partial hardening or large bore interruptions.
