国际标准KS C IEC 62821的一般要求，适用于在公称电压交流450/750 V以下电气设备等使用的额定电压U0/U在450/750 V以下火灾暴露时，以烟气和腐蚀气体释放较少的低毒热塑性复合物为主要成分的具有绝缘体屏蔽的布线用电缆。注意:对于一些柔性电缆，使用代码（cord）这个术语。电缆的细节类型在KS C IEC 62821-3中标明。这些电缆的符号显示在附件A中。第一部分和第三部分说明的试验方法根据KS C IEC 62821-2、KS C IEC 60227-2、KS C IEC 60332-2、KS C IEC 60754、KS C IEC60684、KS C IEC 61034和KS C IEC 60811的相关标准。

국제 표준 KS C IEC 62821의 일반 요구사항은, 공칭전압 교류 450/750 V 이하의 전기설비 등에 사용하는 정격전압 U0/U가 450/750 V 이하의 화재 노출 시 연기와 부식 가스 방출이 적은 저독성 열가소성 컴파운드를 주성분으로 하는 절연체 시스를 가진 배선용 케이블에 대하여 적용한다.참고 일부 유연성 케이블에는 코드(cord)라는 용어를 사용한다.케이블의 세부 유형들은 KS C IEC 62821－3에 명시되어 있다. 이들 케이블의 기호는 부속서 A에 나타낸다.제1부와 제3부에 명시된 시험 방법들은 KS C IEC 62821－2, KS C IEC 60227－2, KS C IEC 60332－1-2, KS C IEC 60754, KS C IEC 60684, KS C IEC 61034과 KS C IEC 60811의 관련 표준에 의한다.
