The objectives of this powerpoint presentation were to: discuss the application of electrochemical approaches to study uniform and non-uniform corrosion of copper; provide a fundamental description of several electrochemical techniques; provide an interpretation and the limitations of each technique; and, discuss the application of solid surface analysis to study uniform and non-uniform corrosion of copper. Corrosion control assessment is provided, including: Linear Polarization (Tafel); Electrochemical Noise; Cyclic Potentiodynamic Polarization; Cu Sample Preparation; and, Synthetic Tap Water Sample Preparation. Includes tables, figures.
