The biggest advantage to a computerized operation and maintenance manual is that it is easy and inexpensive to update. With the press of a function key, the user obtains access to the text file displayed on-screen and can make additions and corrections. This allows the user to quickly, easily, and inexpensively update equipment operating procedures, standard operating procedures, maintenance logs, and other plant information. Many software packages for creating O&M manuals exist. This paper describes CH2M Hill's Manual software.
