Limit and Benefit of Chlorine Residuals for Water Quality Management in Drinking Water Distribution Systems: What is the Right Chlorine Residual
饮用水配水系统水质管理中残余氯的限制和效益:什么是正确的残余氯
This paper points out that the ideal chlorine concentration range to be maintained within distribution systems is very narrow and could be centered on a value of 0.1 mg/L. Due to chlorine consumption, the maintenance of this residual throughout the distribution system is very difficult. To reach this objective, it is necessary to reduce the main parameters responsible for the chlorine consumption (organic matter, chlorine demand, corrosion) and to implement the tools which allow a real management of chlorine residuals such as water quality modeling, on line monitoring and rechlorination booster station.
