该标准规定了在受控环境反复载荷下，确定已存在裂纹增长速度的破坏力学方法和裂纹增长速度下降到一定极限以下的裂纹增长的临界应力扩展系数范围测定方法。

이 표준은 통제된 환경의 반복 하중하에서 이미 존재하는 균열의 성장 속도를 결정하는 파괴 역학적 방법과 균열 성장 속도가 일정한 한계 아래로 떨어지는 균열 성장에 대한 임계 응력 확대 계수 범위 측정 방법에 대해 규정한다.
