南加州大都会水区(Metropolitan Water District of Southern California,简称大都会)与其合作伙伴共同发起了海水淡化研究与创新合作伙伴关系(Deslation Research and Innovation Partnership,简称DRIP)项目,以开发和评估新的创新技术,从而大幅降低科罗拉多河水(CRW)和其他水源海水淡化的成本。滴灌项目将研究反渗透(RO)前使用的四种预处理技术:常规处理(混凝、絮凝、沉淀、多媒体过滤);臭氧消毒和生物活性过滤器的常规处理;微滤;
超滤。评估中的超低压反渗透膜的工作压力远低于当前的低压膜。本文介绍了Metropolitan利用中试规模常规处理厂作为CRW脱盐超低压反渗透预处理的初步经验。包括18个参考文献、表格、图表。
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan), in conjunction with its partners, initiated the Desalination Research and Innovation Partnership (DRIP) program to develop and evaluate new and innovative technologies to substantially reduce the cost of desalinating Colorado River water (CRW) and other sources. The DRIP program will investigate four pretreatment techniques to be used prior to reverse osmosis (RO): conventional treatment (coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, multi-media filtration); conventional treatment with ozone disinfection and biologically active filters; microfiltration; and ultrafiltration. The ultra-low-pressure RO membranes under evaluation operate at substantially lower pressure than current low-pressure membranes. This paper presents Metropolitan's initial experience using a pilot-scale conventional treatment plant as pretreatment for ultra-low-pressure RO for CRW desalination. Includes 18 references, tables, figures.
