Specifies required performance criteria for retroreflective and high visibility fabrics and garments worn by road users, particularly pedestrians, children, joggers, cyclists and roadworkers. Materials are graded into 3 classes according to photometric performance: (1) high performance on occupational garments or visibility accessories which are worn regularly at night-time; (2) intermediate performance for recreational garments or accessories or where occasional night-time use is anticipated; and (3) material with other required properties in addition to night-time visibility, such as day-time visibility.
