                该规格规定了固定用管用螺钉的螺纹形状、尺寸、允许误差及对名称的要求，包括螺钉名称1/16~6。螺钉和螺母均为平行螺钉，是接头、旋塞和阀门的组成部件，用于机械组件。这些螺钉不适合作为以螺钉状态进行气密性连接时使用的连接螺钉。如果该管用平行螺钉需要实现气密性，则应压紧螺钉外侧两个紧固面或插入适当的密封材料。

이 규격은 나사 호칭 1/16∼6을 포함한 고정용 관용 나사의 나사 모양, 치수, 허용 오차 및 호칭에 대한 요구 사항에 대하여 규정한다. 수나사와 암나사 모두 평행 나사이며, 이음쇠, 콕, 밸브의 구성 부품으로 기계적 조립품에 사용된다. 이들 나사는 나사 상태로 기밀성 체결을 하는 곳에 사용되는 체결 나사로는 적당하지 않다. 이 관용 평행 나사로 기밀성이 이루어져야 한다면, 나사 바깥쪽 두 조임면을 압착하거나 적절한 밀봉재를 삽입하는 것이 효과적이다.
