Today, managers try to reduce waste, repetition, and downtime throughout the tube production process to improve the bottom line. In addition, everyone is attempting to improve process safety and reduce long-term environmental liabilities associated with the use of chemicals in the process. Reducing waste and improving safety can therefore be considered an environmentally responsible method to becoming more competitive. One way to reduce process waste is to combine the appropriate process lubrication/corrosion protection with the proper application method and system design. It is a systematic approach to welded tube production that first reviews production requirements, then defines the best combination of chemicals and equipment to meet these needs.
