NAAMM published the first edition of this manual in 1974 entitled, "Fire-Rated Custom Metal Doors and Frames". Much progress has been made in the development of hollow metal door and frame assemblies capable of providing fire-protection in wall openings since the publication of the first edition. The second and third editions were published in 1983 and 2000 respectively.This fourth edition, re-titled "Fire-Protection and Smoke Control Rated Hollow Metal Door and Frame Products", presents data on current practices within the industry with emphasis on the requirements of the International Building Code (IBC) in the United States.
