View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.ZGS 10% Rhodium-Platinum is a grain stabilized platinum-base alloy containg a small amount of highly dispersed zirconium oxide. Its production and general characteristics are closely related to those of ZGS Platinum which aslo is strenghtened by highly dispersed zirconium oxide (Alloy Digest, Pt-2, May 1975). ZGS 10% Rhodium-Platinum is significantly stronger at high temperatures and more creep resistant than the conventional high-temperature rhodium-platinum alloys, while retaining the useful electrical and chemical properties that have made these alloys so attractive as materials of construction in many industrially important areas. It is recommened for use in the glass industry and for resistance-heating applications.
