Настоящий стандарт устанавливает метод определения температуры вспышки горючих жидкостей с температурой вспышки от минус 30,0 град. С до плюс 70,0 град. С включительно в закрытом тигле Абеля. Однако прецизионность, приведенная для настоящего метода, обоснована для температуры вспышки только в диапазоне от минус 5,0 град. С до плюс 66,5 град. С.
 Настоящий стандарт не применим к краскам на водной основе
