CERMET CUTTING TOOLS ARE GAINING AN EVEN LARGER SHARE OF THE HARDMETAL CUTTING TOOL MARKET. THEREFORE, THE EFFICIENT MACHINING OF THESE DIFFICULT-TO-GRIND MATERIALS IS BECOMING EVER MORE IMPORTANT. THIS PAPER CONTAINS SOME AS YET UNPUBLISHED LABORATORY RESULTS ON THIS SUBJECT. TESTS WERE RUN USING DIFFERENT WHEEL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GRINDING VARIOUS CERMET MATERIALS UNDER NUMEROUS CUTTING CONDITIONS.
