There is a substantial lack of useful information for building designers regarding the moisture-related, or hygric, performance of roofing systems. To address this issue, the performance of six roof systems was laboratory tested and computer simulated under three sets of environmental conditions.Computer predictions using three computer simulation models (MOIST, MATCH and WUFI) were made for the six panels under the three environmental conditions. In terms of usability, each of the models has advantages and disadvantages, none of which limit the choice of models in this study.
