This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Water use efficiency in Santa Clara County is presented, along with California's Water-Energy Nexus, and energy savings and greenhouse gas reductions from water use efficiency. Presentation recommendations include the following: expand water conservation and water recycling, given
their role in mitigating and adapting to climate change;
integrate energy policies with water policies;
factor energy savings and air quality benefits into cost benefit
analyses of Water Use Efficiency programs; and,
develop Water Agency-Energy Utility partnerships. The presentation cites a publication by the Santa Clara Valley Water District called "From Watts to Water: Climate Change Response through Saving Water, Saving Energy, and Reducing Air Pollution". Includes figures.
