随着我们从传统的长期运行转向短期运行和QDC以满足客户的JIT计划,传统的模具保护系统因不需要或没有时间工作而关闭或断开。同时,模具仍在破碎,由于没有检测到断裂的冲头,正在产生废料等。多亏了技术,模具保护的复兴可以与JIT共存。本文讨论了微型传感器、分解器、微处理器、内置存储器以及其他影响模具保护系统的创新。
AS WE MOVED FROM THE TRADITIONAL LONG RUNS TO SHORT RUNS AND QDC TO SATISFY OUR CUSTOMERS' JIT PROGRAMS, THE CONVENTIONAL DIE PROTECTION SYSTEMS WERE TURNED OFF OR DISCONNECTED AS NOT NEEDED OR DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO MAKE THEM WORK. MEANWHILE, DIES ARE STILL CRASHING, SCRAP IS BEING PRODUCED BECAUSE OF NOT DETECTING BROKEN PUNCHES, ETC. THANKS TO TECHNOLOGY, A REVIVAL OF DIE PROTECTION THAT CAN COEXIST WITH JIT. THIS PAPER DISCUSSES MINIATURIZED SENSORS, RESOLVERS, MICROPROCESSORS, BUILT-IN MEMORY, AND OTHER INNOVATIONS AFFECTING DIE PROTECTION SYSTEMS.
