该标准规定了电气设备用导体、电缆或电线及其他电气设备的接受要求，以及为必要时进行隔离而设计的电缆中继和电缆管道系统的要求。该标准不适用于设备内包含的电线管、电缆托盘和电缆夹等。备注有很多种类（见附件A），对此个别标准目前正在制定研究中

이 표준은 전기설비용 도체, 케이블 또는 코드 및 기타 전기설비를 수용하고, 필요한 경우 이격하기 위해 설계된 케이블 트렁킹 및 케이블 덕트 시스템에 대한 요구사항을 규정한다. 이 표준은 설비 내에 포함된 전선관, 케이블 트레이 및 케이블 래더 등에는 적용하지 않는다. 비고 매우 다양한 종류(부속서 A 참조)가 있으며, 이에 대한 개별 표준은 현재 제정 검토 중이다
