该规格规定了彩色反转相机的ISO速度测量方法，用于产生由透明照明器显示或像幻灯片一样投射的连续-色调图像。它也适用于非专业使用的8mm和16mm电影拍摄胶片，但不适用于专业电影胶片。

이 규격은 투명 조명기에 의해 보여지거나 슬라이드 와 같이 투사되는 연속－색조 화상을 만드는 컬러 반 전 카메라의 ISO 속도 측정 방법에 대하여 규정한 다. 또한 비전문적으로 사용되는 8 mm와 16 mm 영화 촬영 필름에도 적용되지만 전문 영화 필름에는 적용 되지 않는다.
