In an earlier paper this author presented experimental data showing, the effect of fin spacing on the heat transfer and friction performance of plate fin-and-tube heat exchangers. Each of the nine coils tested in that previous study were geometrically identical with the exception of fin pitch which was varied in steps from 0 to 20.6 fins/in.This paper describes the results of a continuation of that earlier study. Experimental results are given for six coils geometrically identical and identical to the coils tested earlier. The number of tube rows in the direction of air flow varied from 1 to 6.
