该标准规定了“扫描方法”的试验程序，作为确定滤芯泄漏的标准方法。可应用于从ISO35H到ISO75U的分级过滤器。该标准还说明了其他规范方法，适用于从ISO35H等级到ISO45HEPA过滤器的油螺纹泄漏试验（请参阅附件A）和光度计泄漏试验（请参阅附件B）以及固体PSL气溶胶泄漏试验（请参阅附件E）。用于与KS B ISO 29463-1、KS B ISO 29463-2、KS B ISO 29463-3和ISO 29463-5配合使用。
