Evaluation of Personal Care Products (PCP) Removal Efficiency: NF Membranes, Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and Ozone Process
个人护理产品(PCP)去除效率评估:NF膜、颗粒活性炭(GAC)和臭氧工艺
Advanced water treatment processes, including nanofiltration (NF) membranes, granular activated carbon (GAC), and ozone process,
were evaluated in terms of removal efficiencies of personal care products (PCP). Four different
PCP compounds that included DEET, galaxolide, tonalide, and musk ketone, were used to evaluate their
removal efficiency by selected advanced water treatment processes. Two different NF
membranes, RF and NE40, were studied to investigate PCP removal mechanisms. PCP
compounds which have higher molecular weight and higher Kow were more effectively removed
by NF membranes. Two different GAC, SCL-100 and F-400, completely removed all of tested
PCPs. Compared to other processes, ozone provided relatively low removal efficiencies of PCPs. Includes 8 references, tables, figures.
