This slide presentation outlines water and wastewater energy management best practices in Ontario, Canada. The presentation begins by providing background information on energy in Ontario, and presents the collaboration of three Ontario agencies, Ontario Municipal CAO's Benchmarking Initiative (OMBI), Ontario Center for Municipal Best Practices (OCMBP), and National Water and Wastewater Benchmarking Initiative (NWWBI). The presentation outlines electrical energy management by the OMBI/OCMBP Energy Management Business and focuses on the question: are opportunities achievable to monitor and manage the energy requirements for water and wastewater treatment more effectively which will decrease power consumption and limit the financial impact of forecasted price increases for electricity?
