This standard specifies two methods for determining the resilient and the permanent behaviour of unbound mixtures under conditions that simulate the physical conditions and stress states of these materials in layers beneath the surface layer of a pavement subjected to moving loads. The two test methods are provided according to the maximum size of particles: - Method A: The Variable Confining Pressure (VCP) method in which the cell pressure is cycled in phase with the axial load.
