本标准规定了电气用平衡双轴取向聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯（以下简称PET）薄膜的要求，该薄膜用于电气/电子设备、电线和其他一般用途的电气绝缘以及电容器的电介质。本标准中包含或提及的方法的使用者有责任确保以安全的方式使用这些方法。

This Standard specifies the requirements for balanced biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (hereafter referred to as PET) films for electrical purposesused for electrical insulation of electric/electronic appliances, electric wires and other general purposes and for dielectric of capacitors.It is the responsibility of the user of the methods contained or referred to in this Standard to ensure that they are used in a safe manner.
