This paper will provide a picture of how the mature concept works in an industrial management program context. This will include questions like how is the mix and timing between the project activity and the short-courses, drivers and motivations for the student, teacher, researcher, and how is the specific group-work being carried out, including the role of the supervisor as well as the role of industry. The process is illustrated by means of a master student's projects in the area of Continuous Improvement. Finally, we will address some problems, changes and implications.
