BS EN ISO 16424:2017 is applicable to the evaluation of the homogeneity of Gd distribution within gadolinium fuel blends. It also applies to the determination of the Gd2O3content in sintered fuel pellets of Gd2O3+UO2from 1 percent to 10 percent, by measurements of gadolinium (Gd) and uranium (U) elements using ICP-AES.After performing measurements of Gd and U elements using ICP-AES, if the statistical methodology is additionally applied, homogeneity of Gd distribution within a Gd fuel pellet lot can also be evaluated.Cross References:ISO 3696:1987ISO 16796:2004ISO 3951-4:2011ASTM C1430-07ISO 3696:1987Incorporates the Following:Corrigendum, November 2018
