该标准涉及B种（参照KS C IEC 60383-1）陶瓷/玻璃绝缘子单元[盖绝缘子和销绝缘子、销型绝缘子（包括销-支撑型）、B种长杆绝缘子]的空中冲击贯穿破坏试验。该标准也适用于对其他材料（如聚合物和复合体）制成的B类爱子的试验。但最好考虑到有必要适当调整考试程序。该标准旨在规定对空难者进行冲击电压穿透破坏试验的标准程序。制定形式试验和试样试验程序。

이 표준은 B종(KS C IEC 60383－1 참조) 세라믹/유리 애자 유닛[캡 애자와 핀 애자, 핀형 애자(핀-지지형 포함), B종 장간 애자]의 공중 충격 관통 파괴 시험을 다룬다.이 표준은 다른 재료(예: 중합체와 복합체)로 만들어진 B종 애자에 대한 시험에도 적용할 수 있다. 하지만 시험 절차를 적절하게 조정할 필요성이 있다는 것을 염두에 두는 것이 좋다.이 표준은 공중 애자에 대한 충격 전압 관통 파괴 시험의 표준 절차를 규정할 목적으로 발행된다. 형식 시험과 시료 시험 절차를 모두 제정한다.
