This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Test and Evaluation
Facility in Cincinnati, Ohio, including the Small Systems Research Center. Two small systems
guidance documents published by the USEPA are presented, "Small Drinking Water Systems Handbook: A Guide to Packaged Filtration and Disinfection Technologies with Remote Monitoring and Control Tools", and "Small Drinking Water Systems: State of the Industry and Treatment Technologies to Meet the Safe Drinking Water Act Requirements." An overview of small systems in the U.S. is presented, along with Transient Non-Community Water System Research, Surface Water Field Studies, Nanofilter Studies on Fall Lake
in Ely, Minnesota (2008 and 2009), Nanofilter Studies at the T&E Facility in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Nanofilter Studies on Mill Creek Water in Cincinnati, Ohio (2009). Field tests were conducted on the applicability of using a hollow fiber nanofilter manufactured by MSS called the Fyne
Process. An MSS Nanofilter system description is provided, along with a comparison of nanofilter capabilities on waters in Ohio and Minnesota. Includes tables, figures.
