NUMEROUS RECENT IMPROVEMENTS IN THE EDM FIELD HAVE OPENED THE DOOR TO HIGHER PRODUCTIVITY IN FORGING DIE MANUFACTURING. MODERN CNC EDMS HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO RUN PARTIALLY UNATTENDED. WHEN THIS CAPABILITY IS USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH WORKPIECE PALLET SYSTEMS AND AUTOMATIC LARGE ELECTRODE CHANGING, SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS IN JOB FLOW CAN OCCUR WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY REDUCING MAN-HOUR EXPENSES. FINALLY, THE USE OF THE ABRADING PROCESS TO MANUFACTURE ELECTRODES IS FASTER AND LESS COSTLY THAN PREVIOUS METHODS.
