This paper discusses Florida's reuse and other related rules associated with cross connection control and the various programs involved in the proper permitting, initiation, inspection, and maintenance of cross connection control programs. The paper also examines several existing cross connection control programs associated with reuse projects in Florida and presents the results of a survey conducted to evaluate existing cross connection control programs of reuse and drinking water utilities located in areas where reclaimed water is used for irrigation of residential properties and public access areas in Florida.
