AS THE COMPUTER-AIDED ACQUISITION AND LOGISTIC SUPPORT (CALS) EFFORTS PICK UP SUPPORT IN THE GOVERNMENT AND COMMERCIAL SECTORS, TESTING IS REQUIRED. THIS PAPER DISCUSSES A DEMONSTRATION USING ONE OF THE CALS STANDARDS, IGES, TO MANUFACTURE A PART IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS AROUND THE U.S. AND CANADA. THE IGES FILE WAS PASSED SERIALLY BETWEEN FACILITIES AFTER MODIFYING THE FILE USING ELECTRONIC TRANSFER PROCEDURES. PROBLEMS AND SUCCESSES ARE DISCUSSED.
