This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the challenges and solutions of creative financing for water conservation programs. Options for implementing are presented, along with mandatory versus voluntary
measures and programs, utility self-funded programs, avoided cost of water production, and additional benefits of conservation. Six studies are presented of: rates and connection fees at the California Urban Water Conservation Council; green infrastructure investments at the Santa Clara Valley Water District; negotiating cost-sharing partnerships; regional collaboration programs; grant opportunities; and, private developer agreements.
