快速点磨削程序的开发是圆柱形部件外径磨削领域技术的一个根本性变化。获得专利的QUICKPOINT磨削程序的主要特点是:砂轮和工件之间只有一个接触点,即没有线性水平接触点;接触椭圆减半,影响工件轴上方的磨削过程。这两种特性都大大降低了工件的切削力,因此不需要非正驱动。
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE QUICKPOINT GRINDING PROCEDURE IS A FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE IN TECHNOLOGY IN THE FIELD OF O.D. GRINDING OF CYLINDRICAL COMPONENTS. THE MAIN FEATURES OF THE PATENTED QUICKPOINT GRINDING PROCEDURE ARE: ONLY ONE POINT OF CONTACT BETWEEN GRINDING WHEEL AND WORKPIECE, I.E. NO LINEAR HORIZONTAL POINT OF CONTACT; THE CONTACT ELLIPSE IS HALVED AND AFFECTS THE GRINDING PROCEDURE ABOVE THE WORKPIECE AXIS. BOTH FEATURES REDUCE CONSIDERABLY THE CUTTING FORCES OF THE WORKPIECE, WHEREBY NO NON-POSITIVE DRIVER IS REQUIRED.
