THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TRUING PROCESS AND ITS EFFECT ON THE GRINDING PROCESS AND FINAL WORKPIECE SURFACE FINISH HAS BEEN WIDELY DEMONSTRATED. PREVIOUS WORK DEMONSTRATED SINGLE POINT DIAMOND TRUING IS PREFERRED FOR FINISHING OPERATIONS, AND DIAMOND ROTARY DISC TRUING IS SUITABLE ONLY FOR ROUGHING OPERATIONS AND LARGE STOCK REMOVAL DURING A SINGLE PASS, WHEN GRINDING WITH ALUMINUM OXIDE WHEELS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS RESEARCH IS TO TEST THE PREVIOUS FINDINGS FOR THEIR APPLICABILITY TO HOT-PRESSED CBN GRINDING WHEELS, AND TO IDENTIFY THE MOST INFLUENTIAL TRUING PARAMETERS IN THE DIAMOND ROTARY DISC TRUING PROCESS.
