Field Testing Residential Fan-Assisted Gas-Fired Furnaces: Effects of Altitude and Assessment of Current Derating Standards
现场测试家用风扇辅助燃气炉:海拔的影响和当前降额标准的评估
This study was designed to evaluate the effect of altitude on the performance of fan-assisted gas-fired residential furnaces. Output from standard furnace tests performed on fivedifferent furnaces at three different altitudes (Sea Level, 2,250 ft (685 m), and 6,700 ft (2040 m)) are presented. The furnaces cover Venting Categories, Direct and Non-Direct ventingconfigurations, two ignition system types and steady-state thermal efficiencies. Both Natural Gas and Propane Gas were used as fuels. Each fuel was taken from a singlesource and transported to the test sites in order to minimize effects of fuelvariability. In all tests the same instrumentation was used.Contents: Zipped file containing a pdf of the final report, 47 files of generic data and a Legend text file.Units: Dual
