The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California evaluates all of its school programs. First, MWD has an advisory committee that meets periodically to discuss curriculum. Second, all materials are field tested in classrooms. Third, each staff member meets with educators to seek oral evaluations and feedback. Fourth, MWD has developed evaluation forms, including pretests and posttests and teacher and student evaluations. Based on the evaluations, a number of conclusions were drawn and changes to the curriculum materials were made.
