1.1 This practice provides a calculation procedure and a format for reporting the process performance of a manufacturing operation for a rubber or rubber product. 1.2 This practice is specifically designed to be used for technically significant properties of the final product. 1.3 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee. ====== Significance And Use ====== 5.1 This practice is used to evaluate the conformance of a production process to specifications when (1) special causes of variation may be present, and (2) the process may not be in a state of statistical control. This evaluation may also be used to compare different manufacturing operations for conformance to specifications.
