With advances in technology also come advanced opportunities for utility water conservation professionals to communicate with customers. The virtual home web site was developed by the California Urban Water Conservation Council under a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to meet the educational needs of the general public, in particular homeowners, and is also useful to individuals intimately familiar with water conservation concepts.
