该标准明确了表面在非结冰改道内流动的水流速度和截面积的计算方法,以及用(计算机)计算以前信息的方法。还介绍了如何使用流速计或悬浮物来测量速度。在某些情况下,该测量结果旨在计算观测点的水位-流量关系,但该标准只适用于单一流量计测量。长时间持续流动的记录由KS B ISO 1100至1:2003和KS B ISO 1100至2组成。非高结冰性表面的个数内的水流速度和断面面积计算方法在ISO 9196中介绍。
