                ISO 5488:2015规定了商船（不包括客船）上使用的舷梯的要求和试验方法，以使船员和飞行员能够安全上下船。
ISO 5488:2015适用于舷梯以及与引航员舷梯（以下简称“引航员舷梯”）结合使用的舷梯的设计、制造和测试。

ISO 5488:2015 specifies requirements and the method of test for accommodation ladders used on merchant ships (excluding passenger ships) to enable crew and pilots to embark and disembark safely.
ISO 5488:2015 is applicable to the design, manufacturing and testing of accommodation ladders as well as accommodation ladder used specifically in combination with pilot ladder (hereinafter referred as "pilot accommodation ladder").
