该标准定义了用于低合金碳钢仪器不连续检测及尺寸测量的回波时间测量法(TOFD)的一般适用原理。另外,如果必须考虑几何、材料的声学特性、试验的灵敏度,采用TOFD工艺,也可以用于其他类型的材料。该标准一般适用于材料不连续和符合ISO 16810的应用案例,包括适用于焊接部位的参考标准。该接近法是为了明确说明超声波探索者位置及注射方向而选择的。除非参考文献另有说明,否则适用该标准的最低要求。除非另有明确说明,否则根据ISO 16811的定义,该标准适用于以下产品系列:产品系列1:没有限制―产品系列2和3:适用说明的限制
이 표준은 저합금 탄소강 기기의 불연속 검출 및 크기 측정에 사용하기 위한 회절파시간측정법(TOFD)의 일반 적용 원리를 정의한다. 또한 기하학, 재료의 음향 특성, 시험의 감도를 필수적으로 고려하여 TOFD 기법을 적용한다면 다른 유형의 재료에도 사용할 수 있다.이 표준은 일반적으로 재료의 불연속과 ISO 16810에 부합하는 응용사례에 적용하고 용접부에 적용하기 위한 참조기준을 포함한다. 이 접근법은 초음파 탐촉자 위치 및 주사 방향에 대해서 명확하게 설명하기 위해 선택되었다.참고문헌에 별도로 기술되어 있지 않는 한 이 표준의 최소 요건이 적용된다.별도의 명확한 설명이 없으면 ISO 16811의 정의에 따라 이 표준이 다음 제품군에 적용된다.― 제품군 1: 제한 없음― 제품군 2 및 3: 명시된 제한 적용
