This Technical Information Paper provides a set of guidelines developed for the horizonal end suction stock pump to supply the user and the pump and pump component manufacturer with important information to consider when designing the system and sizing, acquiring, or supplying a stock pump. Reliability, operating efficiency, operating costs, and maintenance costs are key factors in developing these guidelines.The end suction centrifugal stock pump was developed to handle pulp and paper stock. This pump ranks between the ANSI horizontal end suction centrifugal pump for chemical processing and the demanding standards of an API pump.
