The objectives of this powerpoint presentation were: to introduce the issue of arsenic
contamination in Nova Scotia, including the groundwater arsenic problem in
Nova Scotia, and the provincial Arsenic management
plan; and, to investigate arsenic removal on water
treatment residual solids (WTRSs), including WTRSs
providing an option for Arsenic
treatment in Nova Scotia,
batch adsorption experiments with groundwater,
column adsorption experiments with
groundwater, and
compare adsorbents with one another as far as determining
which residual type is optimal. Methodology included batch adsorption and column
experiments, and Langmiur Isotherm results are provided. Includes figures.
