PipelineNet simulates the fate and transport of potentially introduced contaminants in water
distribution systems, particularly as related to use and application in an emergency response
situation. The PipelineNet model allows a user to model the flow and concentration of a
biological or chemical agent within a municipal water system. This model assesses the effects of
water treatment on the agent and models the flow and concentration of an agent through the
water distribution system within a municipality and calculates the population and infrastructure
(e.g. hospitals, schools, etc.) at risk. Includes 3 references, figures.
