This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting study objectives that include the following:
relieve areas of high groundwater; and,
provide additional water supply to Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
The project required meeting the requirements
of two important regional clients,
San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District and
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. The overall project was implemented in a phased
approach to meet Metropolitan's growing demands, and several key issues were resolved during
preliminary design related to
project water supply,
hydraulics, and
facilities development. Final design and construction was divided into 4 tasks: Task 1 - Phase 1A Pipeline and Intertie Vaults;
Task 2 - Phase 1B Pipeline;
Task 3 - Pump Station Design; and,
Task 4 - Pump Station Construction.
