This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the South Central Connecticut
Regional Water Authority and two innovative
service programs it created to expand the products and
services offered to customers and
increase non-water revenue. The programs included PipeSafe, created in 1999 to provide
emergency protection for water lines, and
PipeSafe Plus, later created in 2004 for
the emergency protection of sewer lines. Both programs were designed to
provide homeowners with quick
assistance in the event
of a leak, break or blockage to the
water or sewer service lines
running from the curb to the
building. Program start-up is presented, along with target marketing, market analysis, examples of typical service provided, customer service, information technology, business process, employee buy-in, and surveys.
